The boat was built 1995 as DIY project in Switzerland . The vessel has sailed from Hamburg/Germany to Fiji. She has been a reliable boat for 15 years to us. She can sail up to 100 to 120 miles a day. She is easy to handle even for a small crew and simple to do repairs or maintenance yourself. The double chine hull and the deck are built from seawater graded aluminium (AlMg4,5) - Strong and Solid. She is fitted with two asymmetric keels,sitting upright on your keels to make small repairs or put on another coat of antifouling. She has a single mast with 2 forstays, a double backstay, 2 upper shrouds and 4 lower shrouds . At least 2 stays in every direction means, that even if a stay breaks. We have a middle cockpit that keeps the helmsman safely and dry. The steering wheel is at the salon wall . The cockpit is fitted with tarpaulin roofing for protection from rain, sea spray and sun. In Panama we fitted the boat with a solid railing all around - except the stern . It is fitted with a welded on frame on the stern of the boat that holds the solar panels and the wind generator. There are two accesses to the accommodation space from the main deck - through the aft hatch into the aft cabin area or through the forward hatch into the forward living area. This boat is designed for up to 5 persons, but for long time cruising it is just perfect for 2. It has a double berth in the bow, a single berth in the port forward passageway and two single berths in the aft cabin (the last ones are mainly used as extra storage room). The galley and salon area is built as a decksalon with a table and sitting area on a raised deck on starboard. That provides, when standing in the galley or sitting at the table a 360 degree view out the windows. The interior is mainly made of white painted wood which results in a bright and friendly living area. We have a bath room with a sink and a toilet, but no shower inside the boat - we usually take our shower outside on the bath platform. The toilet is a very solid brass marine type - the same model was used on German submarines in the 1960. The boat is well maintained and ready to sail. At the moment she is moored on a cyclone mooring in SavuSavu.
